Description

We are seeking an experienced Private Cellular Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise Private 4G/5G and Radio infrastructure across North America. The role involves developing wireless standards, solution architectures, and roadmaps while working with business and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable wireless connectivity for campuses, manufacturing facilities, data centers, and remote sites. The engineer will lead Private Cellular deployments, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), RF planning, DAS implementations, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and support Private 4G/5G Cellular and radio network solutions.
Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and production deployments.
Develop wireless network architecture, standards, and technology roadmaps.
Perform RF site surveys, coverage analysis, and capacity planning.
Design, deploy, and support Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and signal boosting solutions.
Coordinate site installations, upgrades, expansions, and software enhancements.
Manage project execution, timelines, and weekly status meetings.
Collaborate with LAN, WAN, Security, and infrastructure teams.
Troubleshoot wireless network issues using Wireshark, iPerf, and RF analysis tools.
Work with vendors on solution selection, issue resolution, and system enhancements.
Submit and manage change requests for wireless infrastructure.
Monitor network performance, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Create and maintain operational documentation and support guides.
Support enterprise service tickets and production deployments.
Travel up to 20% for site surveys, deployments, testing, and validation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
8–10+ years of experience in Wireless/Cellular Network Engineering.
Experience designing and deploying Private 4G/5G and Private Cellular solutions.
Hands-on experience with Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and signal boosting solutions.
Strong knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, CBRS, RF Engineering, and wireless technologies.
Experience with TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, and firewall technologies.
Experience performing RF site surveys, coverage analysis, and capacity planning.
Strong troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, iPerf, and RF analysis tools.
Experience with multi-vendor wireless environments (Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, etc.).
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
