Private Chef - Los Angeles

A retired couple with primary residence in Los Angeles is seeking an exceptional, highly creative Private Chef to prepare lunch and dinner. The ideal candidate will bring Michelin-star quality cooking to the home, focusing on clean, vibrant meals with ingredients sourced fresh from local markets. This role includes seasonal travel to secondary residences in Maine and Florida.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Plan, cook, and serve clean, healthy, lunches and dinners five days a week.

• Menu Development: Design highly creative, non-repetitive menus tailored to the principals' preferences, including limited red meat and fresh salads with every meal.

• Sourcing & Grocery Shopping: Hand-select top-tier, organic ingredients from local sources, including the Santa Monica Farmers Market.

• Entertaining: Plan, execute, and serve formal and casual dinners for small gatherings (up to 6–8 guests) 1 to 2 times per week.

• Kitchen & Food Safety Management: Maintain pristine cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, pantry, and food storage areas, adhering to the highest standards of food safety.

• Seasonal Travel Prep: Travel with the couple to secondary properties managing kitchen setups upon arrival.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Private Chef in high-end private residences, with a background in Michelin-starred or high-end fine-dining restaurant kitchens.

• Expertise in clean, health-focused cuisine, with broad culinary versatility and ability to incorporate various global flavors.

• Ability to continuously innovate menus and present fresh, new culinary concepts.

• Discreet, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable working in a private household environment.

• Willing and able to travel seasonally to Maine and Florida as needed (housing provided when traveling).

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday

Salary: $150,000 per year
