All Taft employees operate under a “Client First” philosophy—in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProactively supports attorneys and professional team members in trusts and estatesPrepares and revises documents utilizing software specific to the Private Client practice and to the needs of Private Client attorneysAssists assigned attorneys and paralegals with internal processes and procedures, and generally administratively facilitates the practice of lawCommunicates professionally and kindly with clients via phone and attends client meetings as requestedDrafts and e-files various court pleadings and filingsSchedules and/or calendars multiple meetings, deadlines, etc., and monitors sameManages incoming mail to include sorting, circulating, drafting responses, and saving as appropriateAssembles, mails, and saves estate-planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, and various types of trustsOpens and closes files, assists with billing process, etc.Effectively prioritizes work and monitors deadlines and calendarsEnters, reviews and corrects time charges timelyRequirements2+ years' experience with related legal work preferredDemonstrates a proficient command of the English language and of standard grammar rulesShows strong working knowledge of, and facility with, Microsoft Office programs.Produces excellent written communications with correct structure and grammarShows ability to adapt quickly to workplace stressors and to manage competing prioritiesDemonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism and responsiveness to both clients and co-workers.Taft is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
