Adelphi is looking for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver health and care services to students with significant medical needs through private nursing services at a school facility located in La Plata, Maryland.

The ideal nurse will be required to provide one -on -one nursing services to a student. The PDN will provide care as per the student’s health care plan.<\/span>

Responsibilities:<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
  • Provide medical services exclusively to the assigned student and be available to them at all times.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
  • Maintain visual access unless otherwise specified in the student's health or individualized education plan (IEP).<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
  • Deliver care in a non -disruptive manner and handle any medical emergencies that arise.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
  • Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to support IEP implementation.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
  • Attend IEP meetings to provide relevant medical information when requested.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
  • Adhere to all school district board policies and specific physician orders during school hours and transportation.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
  • Ensure that necessary medical supplies and equipment are present and in good working order.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
  • Carry out specific activities delegated by the teacher related to the student’s care.<\/span>
