Private Equity Associate

A leading Los Angeles-based private investment firm is seeking an Associate to join its investment team. The firm has a long-standing track record of partnering with founder-owned, family-owned, and corporate carve-out businesses within the consumer, distribution, and services sectors. Responsibilities

• Evaluate new investment opportunities through financial analysis, industry research, and due diligence.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, operating, and valuation analyses.
• Participate in all aspects of transaction execution, including management meetings, lender discussions, and third-party diligence.
• Prepare investment committee materials and investment recommendations.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and support strategic initiatives.
• Assist with add-on acquisitions, market assessments, and value creation initiatives.
• Work closely with management teams and senior investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated interest in private equity investing and company building.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
