Description

We are supporting our client on a search for a Private Equity Associate to join a respected middle-market PE firm based in NYC. This is a high-trust, high-impact seat with real ownership over deals, direct interaction with management teams, and exposure to senior partners on every workstream.

You will work in-office five days per week in Midtown. We are open to top investment banking analysts wrapping up their second or third year, strong management consultants from MBB or top boutique firms, and transaction advisory professionals from Big 4 with direct PE deal exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial modeling, valuation, and returns analysis on live deals
  • Run quantitative and qualitative diligence across new investments
  • Build investment committee memos and present recommendations
  • Coordinate with management teams, lenders, advisors, and counsel through close
  • Monitor portfolio companies, attend board meetings, and support value-creation initiatives
  • Source and screen new opportunities through firm and industry networks
  • Manage and mentor analysts on workstreams across the deal lifecycle
  • Support fundraising, LP updates, and quarterly portfolio reporting

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of investment banking, consulting, or transaction advisory experience
  • Mastery of three-statement modeling, LBO modeling, and returns analysis
  • Strong written communication and ability to build polished IC materials
  • High intellectual curiosity and comfort owning workstreams with limited oversight
  • In-office presence five days per week in NYC
  • Bachelors degree from a top program with strong academic performance
