    Private Equity Debt Finance Associate Attorney

    AmLaw 50 Opportunity

    Compensation

    $310,000 – $390,000+

    A premier global law firm is seeking a Private Equity Debt Finance Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

    This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private equity sponsors, banks, private credit funds, and other financial institutions in sophisticated leveraged finance transactions.

    Ideal Background

    3–5 years of debt finance experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

    • Experience representing private equity sponsors, banks, direct lenders, private credit funds, and other financial institutions

    • Experience handling leveraged buyout financings, acquisition financings, recapitalizations, refinancing transactions, dividend recapitalizations, and general corporate lending matters

    • Experience drafting and negotiating commitment papers, credit agreements, collateral documents, security agreements, guaranties, intercreditor agreements, and related financing documents

    • Experience with term loan facilities, revolving credit facilities, asset-based lending, unitranche financings, and syndicated credit facilities

    • Experience managing financing transactions from initial structuring through closing while coordinating with borrowers, lenders, sponsors, and multidisciplinary deal teams

    • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

    • Ability to independently manage sophisticated financing transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

    • Excellent academic credentials

    J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

    New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
