$260,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Private Equity M&A (Asset Management) Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private equity sponsors, asset managers, investment firms, and institutional investors in sophisticated M&A and strategic investment transactions.

Ideal Background

3+ years of corporate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Strong experience representing asset managers, private equity sponsors, investment firms, and institutional investors in mergers & acquisitions and strategic transactions

• Experience handling asset management M&A transactions, with GP stakes transactions strongly preferred

• Experience advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity investments, venture capital financings, liquidity events, and strategic acquisitions

• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements, equity purchase agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and related transaction documents

• Experience managing sophisticated transactions from due diligence through closing while coordinating multidisciplinary deal teams

• Experience advising clients regarding equity compensation, corporate governance, and general corporate matters is preferred

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
