Compensation:
$200–$500/hour or transaction-based earnings, depending on scope, deal size, and mentoring engagement
Initio Sphere is a private capital ecosystem where capital meets talent. We connect fund managers, investors, operators, analysts, and deal scouts through real deal flow, institutional frameworks, and curated relationships.
Private Equity Mentors represent a senior mentorship tier within the ecosystem—focused on elevating decision quality, execution discipline, and professional judgment across private equity–style transactions while benefiting from meaningful earning opportunities and enhanced platform credibility.
Initio Sphere is onboarding Private Equity Mentors to provide high-level mentorship, strategic guidance, and deal judgment support to analysts, deal scouts, fund teams, and emerging sponsors operating in private equity and adjacent private-market strategies.
This is not a traditional employment role. Private Equity Mentors operate as independent contractors, activated through a selective verification and approval process.
Once approved, Private Equity Mentors:
Mentor analysts and deal scouts on private equity deal processes, modeling standards, and diligence judgment
Guide fund managers and sponsors on transaction strategy, structuring, and investment committee readiness
Contribute experienced perspective on deal risk, value creation, and execution discipline
Access curated deal exposure, mentoring engagements, and transaction-linked earning opportunities
Build a verified Mentor Track Record within the Initio Sphere ecosystem
This role is designed for seasoned private equity professionals who want to teach, guide, and elevate others while remaining connected to live deal activity.
Approved Private Equity Mentors may be engaged to:
Mentor analysts on financial modeling expectations, diligence frameworks, and investment judgment
Coach deal scouts on deal quality assessment, positioning, and sponsor readiness
Advise fund managers and emerging sponsors on deal structuring, IC preparation, and negotiation strategy
Review investment memos and diligence outputs from a senior judgment perspective
Provide portfolio and value-creation insight based on prior operating or investment experience
Participate in curated mentorship sessions, roundtables, or selective deal reviews
Private Equity Mentors focus on guidance, review, and judgment, not execution-heavy modeling or day-to-day transaction work unless explicitly approved.
Approval is based on experience, track record, and demonstrated ability to mentor on real transactions in one or more of the following:
Private equity deal process and investment committee standards
Financial modeling review and diligence oversight
Deal structuring and risk assessment
Portfolio company value creation and operational strategy
Professional development and technical mentorship for analysts and scouts
Investor and LP-facing judgment and communication standards
