Compensation

$260,000 – $390,000+

A premier AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join its Boston office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private equity sponsors, asset managers, investment firms, founders, and portfolio companies in sophisticated mergers and acquisitions and strategic investment transactions.

Ideal Background

3+ years of sophisticated private equity and mergers & acquisitions experience gained at a national or international law firm

• Significant experience representing private equity sponsors, asset managers, investment firms, portfolio companies, and strategic investors

• Strong experience handling asset management M&A transactions, with GP stakes transaction experience strongly preferred

• Experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity investments, venture capital financings, and liquidity events

• Experience drafting and negotiating merger agreements, stock and asset purchase agreements, equity purchase agreements, recapitalization documents, investment agreements, and other corporate transaction documents

• Experience advising clients on equity compensation matters in connection with corporate transactions

• Ability to independently manage significant portions of sophisticated transactions while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary deal teams

• Strong business judgment, drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client counseling skills

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively manage client, investor, and opposing counsel relationships

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Massachusetts bar admission required or ability to become admitted
