Description
Little Orchard Preschool is not an all-day childcare. We are a private preschool offering AM or PM sessions for students ages 3 -6 years. We have a similar schedule to the school district with a winter, spring and summer break.
Looking for a dynamic educator who is familiar with, or can embrace, Reggio outdoor curriculum. Who, while teaching in a nature-based setting, can build confidence and a foundation in math, pre-reading, writing, and across all subjects.
Qualifications:
Must have exceptional partnership and communication with both fellow teachers and families.
Must love being in nature and be adaptable to all weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Lead students through their daily schedule and curriculum.
Maintain child portfolios, student assessments, and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
Support and incorporate, in their class, our many multicultural celebrations, history months, various events and spirit weeks.
Maintain the health, safety, and supervision of small groups of children.
Small garden care as you help things grow with students (lavender, pears, apples, cherries, figs, grapes, etc.).
Schedule:
We are looking for a lead teacher, five mornings a week, from 8:00 am to noon.
Or, if an applicant prefers, can be close to full-time as our pm session runs three afternoons a week, those days until 4:00 pm.
