Private Wealth Manager

Overview:

The Bonadio Group is seeking an experienced tax professional to join our Private Wealth Tax Services team. This role will serve high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, family offices, trusts, estates, and related investment entities. The Private Wealth Manager will lead complex compliance engagements, provide proactive planning and consulting, develop team members, and help strengthen the day-to-day delivery capacity needed to support the Firm's growing private wealth client base.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and review complex individual, partnership, and related tax returns.
• Provide proactive tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and their related entities.
• Coordinate integrated service for individuals, trusts, estates, family investment entities, closely held businesses, and family office structures.
• Analyze complex investment structures, partnership K-1s, alternative investments, and multistate filing obligations.
• Identify, research, and resolve technical tax issues and communicate practical recommendations clearly to clients and advisors.
• Coordinate with attorneys, financial advisors, trust professionals, family office personnel, and other trusted advisors.
• Manage engagement scope, budgets, staffing, workflow, billing, risk considerations, and filing deadlines.
• Review work prepared by staff and seniors and provide coaching, technical guidance, and career development support.
• Assist clients with tax notices, examinations, and correspondence from taxing authorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, and enhance the client and team experience.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum bachelor's degree in taxation, accounting, law, or a related field
• An active CPA license, JD, or EA
• A minimum of five years of public accounting or equivalent tax experience

• Experience serving high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, family investment entities, or closely held businesses
• Strong technical knowledge of individual taxation and experience with partnership and multistate tax matters
• Strong tax research, analytical, project management, and communication skills
• Experience supervising and mentoring professional staff
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing and reviewing fiduciary income, gift, and estate tax compliance engagements.
• Experience with private foundations, charitable planning,or international individual reporting matters
• Knowledge of trust structures, estate administration, wealth-transfer planning, and other applicable tax matters.

The salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $175,000 and is commensurate with experience.

Hours of Operation:

Our standard office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with Flex Friday scheduling available in accordance with firm policy and business needs.

We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times.
