STNA, CNA, PCA, or DoDD DSP)LOCATION: Dayton Metropolitan Area, Ohio (Montgomery County and surrounding communities)Join Our Team as a PRN / As-Needed CaregiverHome Care Network (HCN) is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregivers to join our team in a PRN (as-needed) capacity. This opportunity is ideal for healthcare professionals seeking supplemental income, schedule flexibility, or a pathway to future part-time or full-time opportunities.Important Position ExpectationsThis is a PRN / As-Needed position only. Applicants must understand and be comfortable with the following:Hours vary significantly from week to week.Some weeks may offer multiple available shifts.Some weeks may offer limited hours.Some weeks may offer no available hours at all.No minimum number of hours is guaranteed.No consistent schedule is guaranteed.Weekly earnings will vary based on client needs and available assignments.Shift opportunities are based entirely on client census, staffing needs, geographic location, caregiver availability, qualifications, and overall business demand.Travel ExpectationsWillingness to travel to and from all client residences to provide care during scheduled, agreed-upon dates and times is required.For All PRN Caregivers: Travel up to a 30-minute radius (from your home) is required, and willingness to cover clients up to a 45- or 60-minute radius is highly desired. This role is best suited for individuals who desire flexibility and can accommodate a schedule that changes based on client needs.Typical Shift AvailabilityMost available assignments occur during:Weekdays (Monday through Friday)Morning start times typically between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AMAfternoon/evening end times typically between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PMShift lengths and schedules vary by client and assignment, and may vary day-to-day, week-to-week for PRN Caregivers.Weekend opportunities may occasionally become available but are not guaranteed. Potential Opportunity for Part-Time or Full-Time HoursAfter successfully completing approximately 30 days of employment, PRN caregivers may be considered for additional client assignments that could increase hours into a:Part-Time schedule, orFull-Time scheduleif desired by the employee.Please note:Increased hours are not guaranteed.Additional assignments are dependent upon client availability, business needs, geographic coverage requirements, employee performance, and staffing demands.Employees are never required to accept additional hours if they prefer to remain PRN.Preferred QualificationsApplicants should possess one of the following:Option 1Active Ohio STNA or CNA certification; andMinimum one (1) year of paid caregiving experience.Option 2Active Ohio DODD DSP Certification; andMinimum one (1) year of paid experience supporting individuals with disabilities; andWillingness to provide care for both DODD and non-DODD clients.Option 3Minimum three (3) years of paid home care, caregiving, HHA, or PCA experience without certification.Additional experience with medication reminders, transfers, gait belts, Hoyer lifts, dementia care, specialized disease-state support, and related caregiving skills is highly desirable, but not required.The following are non-negotiable requirements for successful employment and advancement of ALL Qualified Caregivers:Possess a strong track record of attendance, dependability, and employment retention with previous employers is required.Willingness and aptitude to perform light housekeeping in addition to patient care services as needed.Ability to perform all main physical tasks on a regular basis, and willingness to do so safely, is required. HCN pays weekly, on Fridays, via direct deposit into your bank account.REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:1-3 years of verifiable experience in home care or caregiving setting (based on credentials).Successful completion of HCN's written skills test and/or competency evaluation.Meet/Completion of all training and/or certifications required by the state in which the home health aide services are being provided. This includes specifications of contracted agencies for which services are being provided.CPR and First Aide Certifications (active/current certs preferred but may also be obtained prior to hire date through HCN or accredited third party).Willingness and aptitude to perform light housekeeping in addition to patient care services as needed.Ability to perform all main physical tasks on a regular basis, and willingness to do so safely, is required. You will be assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professionals and perform services for clients as necessary to maintain personal comfort and safety in their home. As a Home Health Aide, you will:  Deliver direct patient care and support, following the established plan of care, to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.Measure and record vital signs and other specified metrics as instructed.Assist with personal care tasks and activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, oral hygiene, nail & skin care, shaving, dressing).Perform household tasks essential to health care and living at home (e.g., meal preparation/feeding, laundry, light housekeeping).Assists patients in taking medications under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
