    Overview

    Heritage Home Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dependable PRN Caregiver for a dedicated client assignment in Las Cruces, New Mexico (88001). In this role, you will provide high-quality in-home care and delegated personal care services, supporting the client with daily living activities while ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity in the home environment.

    This position involves providing structured one-on-one support for a client who is blind and requires assistance with daily routines and community access.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with meal preparation and maintain kitchen safety
    • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
    • Follow individualized care plans and delegated care instructions provided by licensed professionals
    • Support medication reminders and delegated care tasks per care plan and agency guidelines
    • Provide mobility assistance, including transfers from bed, chair, or wheelchair
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment through light housekeeping assistance
    • Provide structured support and orientation assistance for a client who is blind
    • Assist with organization, scheduling appointments, and completing errands
    • Escort or transport client to appointments or community activities as needed (reliable transportation required)
    • Observe, document, and report changes in client condition, behavior, or care needs to the clinical team

    What We're Looking For

    • Compassionate, organized, and dependable caregivers
    • Experience supporting individuals who are blind or visually impaired preferred
    • Strong communication and time-management skills
    • Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately
    • Calm, patient, and safety-focused approach to care
    • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
    • Morning availability preferred
    • Must have reliable transportation for client support and appointments

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
    • Previous caregiving experience preferred
    • Ability to follow delegation instructions accurately
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Must have a current valid driver's license
    • Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance required
    • Must live in Las Cruces, NM or surrounding areas

    Schedule

    • PRN / as-needed scheduling
    • Morning availability preferred
    • Schedule based on client needs, including weekdays
