Job Title: PRN Caregiver Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Schedule: Every Other Weekend or As Needed Employment Type: PRN (As Needed)
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable PRN Caregiver to join our team for the overnight shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) every other weekend. The ideal candidate is attentive, patient, and committed to providing high-quality care while ensuring the safety, comfort, and dignity of our residents during nighttime hours.
This role is essential in maintaining a calm, secure, and supportive environment while residents rest.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, incontinence care, repositioning, and mobility support
Conduct routine safety checks and wellness rounds throughout the night
Respond promptly to call lights, alarms, and resident needs
Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to the nurse or supervisor
Assist with medication reminders (if permitted by state regulations and training)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment
Support morning wake-up routines as needed at the end of shift
Maintain confidentiality and uphold residents’ rights at all times
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred
CNA certification preferred if no experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication and observation skills
Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and transfer residents according to facility policy
Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
