Position Summary
Capstone Vital Care is seeking experienced and compassionate PRN Home Infusion Registered Nurses to provide infusion therapy services in the following Florida service areas:
- Stuart and surrounding communities
- Vero Beach and surrounding communities

The PRN Home Infusion RN is responsible for providing safe, high-quality infusion therapy in patients’ homes and other approved care settings. This position includes patient assessment, medication administration, vascular-access care, patient and caregiver education, monitoring for adverse reactions, and timely clinical documentation.
PRN hours will vary based on patient needs, referral volume, geographic coverage, and nurse availability. Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday availability may be required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and other prescribed infusion therapies in accordance with physician orders, company policies, and professional nursing standards.
- Assess patients before, during, and after infusion therapy.
- Initiate and maintain peripheral IV access.
- Access and provide care for central venous devices, including PICC lines and implanted ports.
- Perform central-line dressing changes, laboratory draws, and other infusion-related nursing procedures.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate nursing interventions when necessary.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding medication administration, vascular-access care, infection prevention, equipment use, and reportable symptoms.
- Communicate patient status, concerns, and changes in condition to the pharmacy, prescriber, and other members of the care team.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation following each patient visit.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, infection-control requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain and properly handle assigned supplies and equipment.
- Participate in required training, competency assessments, and quality-improvement activities.
- Travel to patient homes and other approved treatment locations within the selected service area.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida or a qualifying multistate nursing license.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Minimum of one year of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion and vascular-access-device management.
- Strong patient-assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance as required by company policy.
- Ability to travel throughout the selected service area.
- Ability to use electronic documentation and communication systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous home infusion, specialty infusion, home health, emergency department, critical care, or ambulatory infusion experience.
- Experience administering biologics, immunoglobulin therapy, antibiotics, hydration, parenteral nutrition, or other specialty infusion therapies.
- Certification in infusion nursing or vascular-access care.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and move throughout patient-care environments.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to safely transport and handle medications, infusion supplies, equipment, and documentation materials.
- Ability to perform fine-motor tasks, including starting IVs, accessing vascular devices, and operating medical equipment.
- Adequate visual, hearing, and communication abilities to assess patients, review orders, read medication labels, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Ability to safely enter and move throughout a variety of patient-home environments, including homes with stairs, uneven surfaces, limited space, pets, smoke, or other environmental conditions.
- Ability to drive and travel between patient locations within the assigned service area.
- Ability to use appropriate body mechanics and assist with patient positioning when necessary.

Schedule
This is a PRN, as-needed position. Assignments and hours will vary based on patient census, geographic coverage, clinical needs, and nurse availability.
Candidates should have flexibility to accept visits during weekdays and occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays.
