Education & Experience
Required:
* Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or related field.
* 0-2 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, employee administration, business administration, customer service, or a related field.
Incident Command System (ICS) Training
Required prior to hire (proof required):
* IS-100.c – Introduction to Incident Command System
* IS-200.b – ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
* IS-700.b – National Incident Management System (NIMS)
* IS-800.c – National Response Framework
Key Responsibilities
* Support employee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing HR needs.
* Maintain accurate, confidential personnel records and HR documentation.
* Support HR communications, reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance activities.
* Assist with employee training, development, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
* Support HR projects, process improvements, and departmental initiatives.
* Provide administrative and operational support to the Personnel Management Department.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle employee information in a professional and appropriate manner.
* Perform other duties as assigned based of departmental needs.
Physical, Operational & Availability Requirements
* Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more and assist with loading and unloading cargo and response equipment.
* Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and operate in physically demanding environments
* Ability to use multiple communication systems (cellular, radio, satellite)
Professional & Compliance Requirements
* Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
* Successful completion of required background checks and drug screenings upon hire and on a random basis during employmentEnglish (United States)
