    Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Medical Receptionist at the ATAMMC Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center in Dumfries, Virginia. Work in a state-of-the-art outpatient military facility, contributing to high-quality patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

    Information:

    • Modern Outpatient Setting – Work in an updated facility with advanced resources.

    • PRN Schedule – work at least one shift weekly

    • Hours are 7am-3:30pm M-F with rotating Saturdays Hours 7am-2pm 

    • Closed on all Sundays & 11 Federal Holidays
    • Meaningful Impact – Serve and support military personnel and their families.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform receptionist duties and other various clerical tasks to assist staff members as necessary.
    • Greet all visitors and determine the nature of the visit. Verify patient’s DEERS eligibility and utilize two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient.  Patient check-in should be accomplished using AHLTA or CHCS.  
    • Include date, stamps, clinic, and patient identifying information on all supporting documents in medical records.
    • Screen walk-in patients to determine purpose of visit and eligibility for treatment. Explain clinic appointment procedures and coordinate walk-in appointments with health care provider. Observe patient for obvious signs of discomfort, illness or distress and notify professional staff of perceived emergencies.
    • Maintain/stock forms needed at front desk.
    • Assist with other duties as needed and assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Must be a US citizen 
    • One year of experience as an administrative technician, in medical environment, using full range of equipment used in medical office environment.
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
    • Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members.
    • Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
    • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
