Position Summary: Our innovative and growing company is searching for an experienced MRI technologist. MRI technologists utilize their communication, patient care and collaborative skills to interact with patients and other members of the healthcare team. They are responsible to ascertain each individual’s safety in the MR environment before entering the magnetic field. MRI technologists utilize their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of MRI to operate MRI scanners safely and efficiently, assisting in the diagnosis of disease and injury. Effective MRI technologists are patient advocates who display reflective, responsible practice and have strong problem solving and technical skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS:
These minimum qualifications have been agreed upon by Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center Administration in the job class and are based upon job analysis and essential functions.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Graduate of a licensed Radiologic Technologist Program and clinically documented training.
AND
Experience:
MRI experience in a high-volume environment
Certification / License Requirements:
Must possess American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification and Mississippi State Department of Health licensure. Certification and licensure must remain current and valid.
Must possess MRI certification and license.
