PRN Neonatologist – MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center

 

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, located in Baltimore, Maryland, and part of MedStar Health, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Neonatologist to join our team in a PRN capacity, providing coverage for our 23-bed, private-room Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and normal newborn nursery.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a Neonatologist seeking a flexible PRN role while practicing in a high-performing, collaborative NICU. Our physicians provide compassionate, evidence-based care and work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional outcomes for newborns and their families.

 

Qualifications:

• MD licensure
• Initial board certification in Pediatrics
• Successful completion of a Perinatal/Neonatal Medicine Fellowship Program
• Board certified or board eligible in Perinatal/Neonatal Medicine
• BLS and NRP certification

About Our NICU

 

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is a 23-bed, private-room Level III NICU that admits approximately 280 newborns annually. Our program consistently achieves neonatal outcomes that rank within the top quartile of participating Vermont Oxford Network centers nationwide, reflecting our commitment to clinical quality and evidence-based care.

 

Since 2007, MedStar Franklin Square has partnered with the March of Dimes to support Maryland’s only fully staffed NICU Family Support Program, providing education, advocacy, and emotional support to families throughout their neonatal journey.
