We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Inverness, Florida on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This flexible opportunity is ideal for a motivated OT looking to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining scheduling autonomy. In this role, you will provide essential therapy services to a diverse patient population supporting individuals recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, and improving daily living skills and independence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional needs to determine functional limitations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with achievable, meaningful goals aligned with each patient's needs.
Provide therapeutic interventions to support independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive strategies, and assistive devices to promote continuity of care and long-term wellness.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated, comprehensive patient care.
Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility policies related to patient care and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Active Florida OT license or eligibility for licensure.
CPR certification (preferred).
Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation abilities.
Previous clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible, as-needed schedule.
Work Environment:
PRN/as-needed position with flexible, variable scheduling based on facility needs.
Ability to commit to shifts with reasonable notice and adapt to changing caseloads.
Potential work settings include hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health.
