Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients in the operating room
  • Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures within scope of practice
  • Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, and preparation
  • Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic technique
  • Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical team throughout procedures
  • Administer and document medications per policy
  • Manage specimens and ensure accurate documentation
  • Provide patient handoff to PACU
  • Support OR setup, equipment readiness, and room turnover
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant surgical environment
  • Assist with staff training and onboarding as needed

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado
  • Prior perioperative / operating room experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Strong attention to detail and patient safety focus

Compensation & Work Arrangement

PRN (as-needed) position with scheduling based on case volume and operational needs. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
