Job Description:

Work Schedule: PRN, requires open availability for all shifts as needed.

• Maintains and manages all incoming communications by answering calls professionally, forwarding them appropriately, and providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.

• Coordinates after-hours operations by contacting key personnel as needed and maintaining accurate on-call schedules and staff contact information.

• Monitors, responds to, and communicates hospital emergency codes, disaster alerts, and alarm systems in accordance with established procedures.

• Executes overhead announcements accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of proficiency to support hospital operations and safety.

• Maintains detailed operational call logs and communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure timely resolution of requests and issues.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic understanding of numerous computer systems. Required

• Must be proficient in the English language. Required

• Ability to communicate effectively. Required

• Customer service skills Required

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Required

• Ability to work with attention to detail in reading, writing, and computer tasks Required

• Organizational and interpersonal skills Required

• Ability to answer calls promptly, courteously, and accurately Required

• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions required.

• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays Required

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv Required

Work Experience:

• 1+ experience in switchboard operations. Required

Pay Range:

$14.31 - $21.46
