PRN Registered Nurse - Admissions

We are currently seeking a PRN Admission Nurse for our Roanoke based service area.

As an Admission Nurse, you will assess a patient’s needs and complete admission for service as appropriate, as well as complete admissions paperwork, and electronic charting in accordance with GSH guidelines. You will also work closely with the intake department, as well as the supervisor, to ensure the admission process is completed in a prompt and timely fashion, and in accordance with admissions policies and procedures

We are seeking individuals who are licensed as a RN in the State of Virginia, and has at least one year experience in Hospice or ICU.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN and/or CHPN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including hospice or ICU experience.
• Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and clinical assessment skills.
• Computer proficiency with EMR systems.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
