Actual pay is determined by program, work commitment and business needs Overview The Speech Language Pathologist carries out an individualized program for patient with acute and chronic health conditions to maximize their quality of life and achieve their functional goals. The therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff.
What you will do
Responsible for evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Provides augmentative and alternative communication systems for severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders such as ASD or progressive neurological disorders.
Provides training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.
Carries out treatment plan and modifies to maximize therapeutic benefit and meet discharge criteria and return to optimal level of care. Records patient's progress and modifies the plan of care.
Builds trusting collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs. Actively participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
Assists in training and support of all team members, volunteers and students.
Qualifications
Education
Masters Degree, Speech Language Pathology (Required) or
Doctoral Degree, Speech Language Pathology (Required)
Experience
1 year Speech Language Pathology (Preferred)

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Upon Hire(Required) and
