PRN Transportation Driver

Clinton, IA | PRN/As Needed |IA Class D - Chauffeur License | $16.00+/hour, based on experience

Job Description:

Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clinton, IA is looking for a PRN Transportation Driver to join our team! You'll be more than a driver - you'll be a friendly face, a helping hand, and an important part of making sure our residents get where they need to go safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

Whether you're taking a resident to a medical appointment, an activity, or another approved destination, you'll help make their day a little easier. You don't need to be a transportation expert—you need to be dependable, patient, and someone who genuinely cares about people.

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate the facility vehicle to transport residents according to scheduled routes and appointments.
• Help residents safely enter and exit the vehicle.
• Assist with mobility needs and ensure proper use of seatbelts, lifts, and other safety equipment.
• Follow all traffic laws, facility policies, and transportation procedures.
• Provide friendly, respectful, and courteous service to residents, families, and staff.
• Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and safe.
• Complete accurate trip records and mileage logs.
• Report maintenance, safety, or vehicle concerns promptly.
• Help create a comfortable and positive experience for residents during every trip.
• Protect resident privacy and treat every person with patience, dignity, and respect.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a valid Iowa Class D Chauffeur's License.
• Has a clean driving record with no major violations.
• Is comfortable helping people with mobility challenges.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is dependable and able to follow schedules.
• Can remain calm, patient, and professional in different situations.
• Takes safety seriously.
• Is comfortable working independently while still being part of a team.
• Has prior experience working with seniors or in a healthcare environment preferred but not required.
• Can pass a background check and physical.
• Is flexible regarding scheduled working days.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Valid Iowa Class D Chauffeur's License required
• Clean driving record

Experience:

• Entry Level (0-2 years)

The Details:

Pay: Starting at $16.00/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: PRN (as-needed/on call)

Shift: Variable, ranging from 6AM-8PM depending on appointment location
