Job Details Location: Portland Office - Portland, OR 97205Salary: $160,000.00 - $210,000.00 per yearWe are currently seeking a mid-level associate to support our Portland Office's Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of recent litigation experience from a law firm and a strong willingness to learn probate and trust litigation. Experience handling probate or trust disputes in Oregon courts is a plus, as well as related administrative or drafting experience involving trusts and estate plans. Candidates should be licensed to practice in Oregon, have strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials.Job Duties Provide legal research and analysis in pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents;Draft pleadings and other case documents;Attend hearings;Manage matters from commencement to final resolution;Professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys.Job Requirements Must have a Juris Doctorate with excellent academic credentials;Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in Oregon;Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices;Familiarity with and ability to prepare basic litigation documents;Must have case management experience;Clear and effective drafting skills;Strong negotiating skills;Ability to learn new substantive legal topics as needed;Ability to provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys;Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines;Strong organization and matter management skills;Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.Benefits and Compensation A career at Buchalter is an opportunity to do exciting work with a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm.
