    Description

    Boutique firm in N Palm Beach is seeking an experienced Contract Probate Litigation Paralegal to provide support in contested probate, trust, and guardianship matters. The ideal candidate has strong litigation experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while working independently in a fast-paced legal environment for a 2 month contract that could be extended.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist attorneys with probate and trust litigation matters from inception through trial.
    • Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, notices, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
    • Prepare probate court filings, petitions, inventories, accountings, and related documents.
    • Manage litigation calendars, court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial dates.
    • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
    • Coordinate service of process and document production.
    • Review and summarize medical records, financial records, trust documents, wills, and discovery materials.
    • Prepare exhibits, witness lists, trial notebooks, and hearing binders.
    • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses.
    • Conduct legal and factual research related to probate, trust, and guardianship litigation.
    • Monitor case status and ensure compliance with court rules and filing requirements.
    • Assist with trial preparation and attend hearings or trial as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of probate litigation or trust litigation paralegal experience.
    • Strong knowledge of probate court procedures and civil litigation practices.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
    • Experience with electronic court filing (state and federal, as applicable).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • Notary Public commission is a plus.
