    Description

    Position Summary: EICSD seeks a student-centered special education teacher to provide consultant teacher services in an elementary setting and Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) services for preschool students. This position is split between Ivan Green and Helendale Road Primary Schools.

    Performance Responsibilities:

    • Instruction & Curriculum

    • Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with district curriculum

    • Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals through developmentally appropriate instruction, data collection, progress monitoring, and collaboration with classroom staff, related service providers, and families.

    • Adapt classroom materials and activities to accommodate diverse learning styles, sensory needs, and developmental levels.

    • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

    • Use a variety of instructional strategies to actively engages students

    • Integrate technology and instructional resources effectively

    • Assessment & Data:

    • Design and implement formative and summative assessments

    • Analyze student data to inform instruction and improve outcomes

    • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families

    • Classroom Environment:

    • Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate

    • Promote positive student behavior and social-emotional growth

    • Implement district-approved behavior ad safety procedures

    • Collaboration & Communication

    • Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and department meetings

    • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress

    • Collaborate with staff, specialists, and administrators

    • Professional Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate records as required by district and state guidelines

    • Participate in professional development activities

    • Comply with district policies as assigned by administration

    • Perform other duties as assigned by administration
