Monday- Thursday: 8am -5pm
Fridays: 8am-1pm
Pay Scale: 21-25 depending on experience
Peninsula Pain Clinic is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Procedure Coordinator to join our team. In this key role youll be the hub that keeps our procedure schedule running smoothly - supporting patients, providers, and clinical staff every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule patient procedures from start to finish
- Obtain and manage prior authorizations, including submitting documentation and insurance follow-up
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and insurance carriers
- Gather and review required medical records and documentation
- Confirm procedure dates, times, and readiness with patients
- Review pre-procedure instructions to ensure patients feel prepared
- Ensure all requirements are completed prior to procedure day
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Partner with providers and clinical staff to support efficient workflow
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare education a plus
- Experience in a medical office, surgical scheduling, or prior authorization role preferred
- Strong understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Friendly, professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinic environment
- Comfortable working in EMR systems and standard office software
