Procedure Coordinator Location Peninsula Pain Clinic

Employment Type: Full-Time Monday- Thursday: 8am -5pm Fridays: 8am-1pm Pay Scale: 21-25 depending on experience

Peninsula Pain Clinic is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Procedure Coordinator to join our team. In this key role youll be the hub that keeps our procedure schedule running smoothly - supporting patients, providers, and clinical staff every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule patient procedures from start to finish
  • Obtain and manage prior authorizations, including submitting documentation and insurance follow-up
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and insurance carriers
  • Gather and review required medical records and documentation
  • Confirm procedure dates, times, and readiness with patients
  • Review pre-procedure instructions to ensure patients feel prepared
  • Ensure all requirements are completed prior to procedure day
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Partner with providers and clinical staff to support efficient workflow

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare education a plus
  • Experience in a medical office, surgical scheduling, or prior authorization role preferred
  • Strong understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Friendly, professional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinic environment
  • Comfortable working in EMR systems and standard office software
