Salary: $108,000.00 - $148,500.00Location: Tempe Spares Mfg, AZKey Responsibilities Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on a variety of difficult process engineering experiments, within safety guidelinesPerform hardware characterization on a variety of difficult systems, within safety guidelinesTroubleshoot a variety of complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis and resolve a variety of difficult process engineering issuesGenerate internal and external documentation for products, presentations and technical reportsInteract with customers to resolve a variety of difficult process engineering issues/problems with limited supervisionMeasure film properties and interpret dataIdentify, select and work with vendors and suppliers with limited supervisionImplement new technology, products and analytical instrumentationServe as a resource for junior colleagues; lead project teams, as neededRequired Qualifications Master's or PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related field.Strong understanding of material properties, phase transformations, and microstructure-performance relationships.Familiarity with failure analysis techniques (e.g., SEM, EDS, XRD).Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic production environment.Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in ceramic manufacturing, process engineering or R&D.Experience with CVD or other thin film deposition techniques (e.g., PVD, ALD, PECVD).Experience with statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing principles.Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. JMP, Excel, Minitab, Python).Experience supporting customers in high-tech industries and capable to influence cross-functional teams and lead projects under tight deadlines.Additional Information Time Type: Full timeEmployee Type: Assignee / RegularTravel: Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible: NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
