The Materials and Processes Engineering Process Chemistry group is seeking a knowledgeable and highly motivated Process Chemistry Engineer. The engineer will work in a team environment and be responsible for developing, improving, and troubleshooting chemical processes such as priming, painting, electroplating, cleaning, etching, stripping, anodizing, and corrosion resistant coatings on various aerospace alloys. A fundamental understanding of alloy surface engineering is required. The work scope includes working in a laboratory, and as required the supply base, touching all aspects of the product life-cycle from technology and product development to manufacturing and repair / aftermarket support. Understanding and controlling these processes and developing new ones are critical to the success of P&Ws engine products. Candidate should be familiar with working protocols in a chemical laboratory.

Required Skills: Process Chemistry Engineer
- Ability to work in a laboratory setting, making chemical solutions, preforming experiments, processing parts.
- Ability to create test plans, document work, and communicating to engineering customers.
Key Responsibilities: Process Chemistry Engineer- Must have strong problem solving, analytical, observational, and organizational skills.
- Must be a strong verbal and written communicator with good customer skills including good technical writing skills in the form of reports and documents.
- Must function effectively in a lab environment with people of a broad variety of skills and backgrounds with hands on experience.
- Must be able to balance several assignments at once and be proactive and inclusive in problem solving.
Additional Education Requirements: Process Chemistry Engineer- A bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. A minimum of 4 years of experience, preferably in a laboratory.
Basic Qualifications: Process Chemistry Engineer- A bachelors degree and minimum 5+ years, prior relevant experience.
- US Citizenship due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications: Process Chemistry Engineer- 3+ years experience in an engineering environment with knowledge of Client specifications and SPOPs (Service Process Operation Procedures) or SAE AMS surface treatment specifications is desired.
