General Responsibilities
. Assist in the synthesis of products by following protocols provided by senior chemists.
. Perform and assist with chemical analysis and evaluate results.
. Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments and findings.
. Work closely with cross-functional teams and communicate results to stakeholders.
. Adhere to the Novus Integrity System (NIS) and all policies and procedures related to position assignment.
Experience Requirements
. A bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering is required, and 2+ years of laboratory experience performing synthetic work, or a master's degree with 0-2 years of experience in synthetic /process chemistry.
Skills Requirements
. Strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry.
. Proficiency in laboratory techniques like FTIR, HPLC, and Rotoevaporation.
. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
. Good communication and organization skills.
. Attention to detail.
Other Essential Skills and Physical/Safety Requirements
. Proficient in Microsoft Office platforms
. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with arms or hands, write & type.
. Ability to see, speak, hear, and smell. Must have depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.
. Must be able to use personal protective equipment as required by OSHA standards.
. Able to work around chemicals safely.
Cross-Functional Relationships
. Work closely with analytical chemistry, formulation, and biochemistry groups.
