The Process Controls Engineer is responsible for improving plant performance, reliability, and safety through the application of advanced instrumentation, control systems, and automation technologies. This role combines process optimization with project execution, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term improvements. The engineer will lead and support control system projects from concept through startup, while also providing technical expertise in troubleshooting, training, and system reliability.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
B.S. in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering preferred.
Strong understanding of process control principles and industrial automation.
Experience with:
Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs
Inductive Automation Ignition HMI
Microsoft Windows-based server environments and virtual machines
Field instrumentation and industrial networking
Proficiency in programming and scripting (e.g., Ladder, Structured Text, VB, .NET, SQL).
Experience in industrial manufacturing; chemical industry preferred.
Working knowledge of industrial electrical distribution and safety systems.
Ability to safely exit the plant in the event of an emergency.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills:
Familiarity with IT hardware and software infrastructure
Understanding of cybersecurity principles for industrial control systems
Experience with network architecture and system integration

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $76,000 - $131,000
Annual Bonus Target: 5% - 7%, subject to plan provisions.
