Summary:
This position contributes to the work group by implementing product supply strategies, managing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and cost management, ensuring quality assurance of components/finished products, and driving Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE).
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage APQP and cost management activities from concept to PPAP to deliver parts at the right quality, total cost, and meet timelines through collaboration with various functional areas such as packaging, transportation, business resources, and supply chain.
  • Extensively use Teamcenter and workflow processes to collaborate with engineering, supplier development engineers, and identify the supplier source for each buy level part.
  • Escalate supplier quality defects to SDEs for immediate containment.
  • Implement product supply strategies aligned with category management supply strategies to create a competitive advantage by developing, optimizing, and integrating a world-class supply network.
  • Manage quality feedback loops to ensure lessons learned on quality defects are applied across the supply base.
  • Drive VAVE through cost modeling, design for manufacturability, and leveraging suppliers’ capabilities.
 
Qualifications:
  • 2 or more years of experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; Mechanical, Industrial, and Supply Chain Engineering degrees will be accepted.
 
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Manufacturing process knowledge.
  • APQP process understanding and ability to apply.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and computer-generated reports.
  • 3D modeling or Creo experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Teamcenter and Six Sigma processes.
  • Should cost analysis.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while driving department goals and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Advanced ability to make and communicate presentations to management.
  • Strong time management skills.
 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $37.00 - $38.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
