Join a flexible corporate engineering team and help elevate automation and control system performance across multiple chemical manufacturing sites in the U.S. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex control issues, collaborating with site teams, and driving standardization and modernization across an entire organization.
What You'll Do
Serve as the corporate expert for DCS, PLC, SIS, and advanced process control systems.
Develop, maintain, and roll out corporate automation standards and best practices.
Lead control system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Support site engineers with troubleshooting, tuning, network issues, and system performance.
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, IT, and Engineering across multiple locations.
Oversee system integrators, review design packages, and validate control logic.
Contribute to capital projectsensuring automation strategy is aligned with safety, reliability, and business needs.
Drive cybersecurity compliance and automation lifecycle management.
Mentor and train site controls/automation personnel.
What You Bring
Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Controls, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with process controls in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, or similar industries.
Strong proficiency with DCS/PLC platforms and control system troubleshooting.
Ability to support multiple sites remotely and travel as needed (~20%).
Experience with SIS, APC, or cybersecurity practices is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
