    Description

    Our client, a leading organization in the petrochemical industry, is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Process Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting operational excellence and process optimization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

    Job Title: Process Controls Engineer

    Location: Clear Lake, TX

    Pay Range: Dependent on Experience


    What's the Job?

    • Support unit operations by maintaining and enhancing process control applications and assets.
    • Develop, modify, and tune control strategies to ensure optimal operation of processing units.
    • Provide technical expertise for control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and Safety Instrumented Systems.
    • Monitor process performance and assist process engineering to meet production, quality, and energy targets.
    • Participate in PSM Management of Change, incident investigations, and process hazard analyses.

    What's Needed?

    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process controls or operations engineering within a petrochemical or refining environment.
    • Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs.
    • Experience with DCS systems such as Foxboro IA or Emerson Delta V preferred.
    • Knowledge of PLC systems like Triconex or GE Fanuc / Mark V, VII preferred.
