Job Description Summary As a Process Engineer - Engine Assembly, you will play a key role in owning and improving production assembly processes to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery across the LM2500, LM6000, CF6, and LMS100 programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the product and the people building it — working directly on the shop floor to solve problems in real time, improve processes, and help teams succeed. You will be a hands‑on operational leader, partnering with cross‑functional teams to evaluate non‑conformances, drive root‑cause and corrective action, and implement improvements using FLIGHT DECK, our Lean operating framework. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a visible impact on production performance and customer outcomes.Roles and Responsibilities Ability to work second shift, Monday‑FridayOwn and improve engine assembly processes to support Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity goalsRespond quickly to Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) by assessing current conditions against engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, and determining corrective actions needed to restore production flowLead and support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts in partnership with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, Fulfillment, and other operational teamsParticipate in Daily Management and shop floor operating cadences, using KPIs to drive decisions and continuous improvementIdentify, develop, and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and throughputBuild and apply technical knowledge, primarily in mechanical and manufacturing engineering, to solve production challenges and strengthen process capabilityCollaborate across functions to support adjacent improvement initiatives and share best practicesServe as a trusted, action‑oriented presence on the shop floor, helping teams remove barriers and keep engine builds movingMinimum Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR High school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in engineering related to manufacturing processesMinimum of 3 years of operational and/or engineering experience associated with manufacturing processesDesired Characteristics and Experiences Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to challenge the status quoTechnical aptitude to interpret engineering and quality requirements within a regulated manufacturing environmentExperience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growthKnowledge of Lean principles and methodologiesCollaborative, humble, and transparent working style with strong communication skillsAbility to make sound decisions in a complex, high‑tempo manufacturing environmentBenefits GE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
