Process Engineer | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Allegan that are seeking skilled Process Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Design, implement, and monitor process control systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new products and technologies into production.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, flowcharts, and operating procedures.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes using tools like Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition.
  • Experience with Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of implementing effective solutions.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
