Job Responsibilities:

Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies. Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs. Follows and supports and Magna's operating principles, including:

Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey.

Knowledge of pre-shift safety inspections, Documentation of lot traceability forms (Tagging Procedure, Production Sheets), Performing first and last offs, Fulfill production requirements, Quality of product produced, Load and unload parts or assemblies in their respective containers, Quality Visual inspection and documentation cards (Control Cards, and Defect Monitoring Sheets, etc.), Team Player TS16949 awareness and adherence ISO14001 awareness and adherence Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts awareness and adherence Commitment to continuous improvement and workplace safety Perform other duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

SKILL (Ability to do the job)

  • Ability to work a three-shift rotation or other shifts, as required by business needs,
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision,
  • Must possess initiative and willing to learn and adapt to changes and new,
  • Ensure that your department is clean, tidy, always organized and a safe workplace,
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality,
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment,
  • Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds, the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, and occasional bending and stooping.

EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED

Some of the equipment and tools used are a computer, telephone, copier/printer and fax machine

KNOWLEDGE

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required,

Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Technology

OTHER: Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum five (5) years industrial experience required with at least three (3) years in a tier one electro coat paint line.
