Process Engineer - Ergonomist

Position Description:

• The Process Engineer - Ergonomist assists the plant ergonomics program at Michigan Assembly Plant, partnering with production, engineering, safety, medical, labor, and plant leadership to identify and reduce ergonomic risks.
• The role assesses and improves workstations, analyzes injury and medical trends, supports new-model launches and process changes, and ensures compliance with Client ergonomics standards.
• Through data analysis, employee training, and cross-functional continuous improvement, this position promotes employee well-being while supporting safety, quality, and operational performance.

• 3D Modeling
• At least one year of experience in ergonomics, manufacturing or industrial engineering, safety, or a related technical area.
• Experience conducting ergonomic assessments and implementing workplace improvements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.

• Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) credential, automotive manufacturing or launch experience, and familiarity with ergonomic simulation tools are preferred, but not required.

• Bachelor's degree in ergonomics, engineering, industrial engineering, human factors, kinesiology, occupational health, safety, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred
