Facilities & Process Engineer (LNG Operations)
Location: Sabine Pass, TX
Job Type: Contract (1-3 Year Assignment)
Schedule: 8-10 Hours Per Day
Salary Range (DOE): $75.00 - $85.00/hr. neg.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Facilities & Process Engineer to provide day-to-day engineering support for LNG process facilities, utilities, and balance-of-plant systems. This role supports plant operations through troubleshooting, facility reliability initiatives, Management of Change (MOC) activities, engineering studies, and resolution of process and equipment vulnerabilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Integrity, Projects, and engineering contractors to improve facility reliability, operational readiness, and overall plant performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for Client process systems, utilities, and facility operations.
- Troubleshoot process, equipment, and operational issues affecting plant performance.
- Support facility reliability, integrity, and risk mitigation programs.
- Lead and participate in Management of Change (MOC) activities.
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve facility vulnerabilities and technical action items.
- Coordinate engineering studies, process evaluations, and technical assessments.
- Support maintenance planning and operational readiness efforts.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Integrity, and Project teams.
- Review process calculations, engineering documents, and technical recommendations.
- Assist with implementation of facility improvement projects.
- Interface with contractors, vendors, and engineering service providers.
- Support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience supporting Client facilities or similar operating process facilities.
- Strong background supporting live plant operations.
- Experience troubleshooting process, equipment, and operational issues.
- Experience with Management of Change (MOC) programs.
- Experience working with Operations and Maintenance teams.
- Knowledge of facility reliability, process safety, and integrity principles.
- Ability to coordinate technical studies and drive action item closure.
