Overview:

The Microcircuit Emulation Center at SRI International (formerly Sarnoff Corporation) is looking for a Process Engineer II (IT Applications) to support the manufacturing of microcircuits (integrated circuits). Through SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) Check out our work! and Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) programs, the Microcircuit Emulation Center supplies form, fit, function, and interface replacements for obsolete microcircuits. This capability supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements for the life of a weapon system. SRI’s Microcircuit Emulation Center is a government-supported, U.S.-based Trusted foundry. This role is based in our Princeton, NJ office.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve IT Applications systems that support Microcircuit manufacturing while working with group and corporate staff (includes all operational areas).
  • Work with staff and Management across all group disciplines to understand current process methodology and implementations as related to IT systems.
  • Sustain, improve, and optimize IT applications systems to support operational activities.
  • Work in cross functional teams (Engineering, Integration, Design and Layout) to implement IT Applications systems.
  • Will collect data, correlate, interpret, and present information to management and co-workers.
  • Design and implement scripts to automate server and infrastructure tasks.
  • Develop database backup and recovery strategies, and implement access control policies and encryption mechanisms to enhance database security.
  • Continually learn about integrated circuit manufacturing and IT Applications that support the process.
Qualifications:
  • Due to Government requirements candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • BS (or equivalent) in electrical engineering, computer science, or an equivalent field or semiconductor manufacturing experience and/or IT support for 15 years
  • Experienced with computer network systems and ability to maintain current networks and diagnose issues
  • Past use of MESA TRACS is desired
  • Knowledge and use of legacy OS and hardware including Windows and Linux
  • Front-end technical skill set or UX skills HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experienced with SQL, database design and integration into webpages for data viewing and analysis, experience Laravel framework would be considered advantageous
  • Must be familiar with software programming concepts and software architecture
  • Good documentation of problems and solutions
  • Knowledge of schematic diagram, PLC, and ladder logic would be considered advantageous.
  • Experience of CUI and CMMC compliance
  • Demonstrated analytical and systematic teamwork approach to troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate

The salary range is: $81,522-$121,266. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
