Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties:
- Engineer, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes within food and beverage production.
- Support aseptic processing and aseptic packaging operations.
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost.
- Develop and implement process improvements within a highly controlled, sterile manufacturing environment.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and process-related issues and develop effective corrective solutions.
- Support equipment, process, and packaging improvements throughout the manufacturing operation.
- Collaborate with operations, production, quality, maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
- Apply engineering principles to low-acid aseptic food and beverage manufacturing processes.
- Assist with process validation, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet quality and production requirements.
- Evaluate manufacturing data and process performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support new products, equipment, processes, and production initiatives as needed.
- Maintain a strong focus on food safety, sterile processing, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 4+ years of process engineering experience.
- Required: Experience with aseptic processing and/or aseptic packaging.
- Strong experience in manufacturing environments; food manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production operations.
- Ability to analyze processes and implement practical engineering solutions.
- Experience working cross-functionally with production, operations, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, but not required.
- Local Lathrop-area candidates preferred; relocation candidates may be considered for an exceptional fit.
