Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing,Chemical or Process Engineering
- Experience with Composites manufacturing
- Any experience with Carbon Fiber manufacturing
- Knowledge of the following processes: Hand Lay-up, Resin Transfer Molding(RTM), and Automated Fiber Placement(AFP)
- Root Cause, PFMEA, Statistics & SQC/SPC
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing processes for composite parts, focusing on maximizing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This includes techniques such as lay-up, curing (autoclave/oven), trimming, and assembly
- Provide technical support and daily direction to production personnel. Lead root-cause analysis for production issues, including non-conformances related to materials or processes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Recognizes, implements, and troubleshoots tools by providing root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) to problems associated with impregnation or batch mixing manufacturing processes.
