Process Engineer | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Otsego that are seeking skilled Process Engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Design, implement, and validate new equipment and process improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of process deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor process performance through statistical analysis and data interpretation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless process integration.
  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance productivity and quality.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process optimization and waste reduction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and CAD tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing process improvements, leading to measurable gains in efficiency, quality, or cost.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Project management experience
