This Process Engineer role is focused on improving manufacturing operations by increasing efficiency, reliability, quality, and safety while reducing costs, downtime, waste, and changeover times. The engineer acts as a key technical resource supporting production and maintenance teams, particularly in Extrusion and Converting operations, and drives continuous improvement initiatives from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, GMP, and 5S standards.

• Support production and maintenance teams in improving:

• Equipment reliability

• Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

• Production throughput and yields

• Product quality

• Preventive and predictive maintenance programs

• Lead and support engineering projects within the plant.

• Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.

• Develop and maintain:

• Process flows

• PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses)

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Performance and capability documentation

• Create error-proofing methods to reduce defects and variability.

• Evaluate, cost, and document engineering changes.

• Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

• Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel and project teams.

• Use strong problem-solving and analytical skills to support plant performance and long-term operational improvements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is:

• Strong in continuous improvement and manufacturing optimization.
• Experienced with process engineering, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Comfortable leading cross-functional projects.
• Knowledgeable in maintenance reliability practices, OEE, PFMEA, SOP development, and quality systems.
• Safety-focused with the ability to influence production and maintenance teams.

Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related

Technical Discipline).

• 5-10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• 5+ years of Blown Film Extrusion experience highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and manufacturing process skills/experience.
• Must have experience supporting and leading Lean manufacturing activities.
• Analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving techniques/tools.
• Data-driven, disciplined, objective and detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills. Demonstrated ability to act as a business partner, "see the big picture," and

work through ambiguity and change.

• Advanced computer knowledge with MS Office applications (Excel, Access, etc.) and other computer tools

and software.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
