Process Engineering Manager

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Process Engineering Manager to join our team. Responsible for managing ECNs, BOM audits and ERP updates, calibration activities, and UL audit coordination, while supporting document control and workload delegation. Also provides customer quality documentation, supports QC troubleshooting, serves as a customer liaison, develops work instructions, and trains employees on testing procedures for industrial control panels.  This role supports the New Product Introduction departmentand reports directly to the Vice President of New Product Introduction (NPI).  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), including initiating ECNs, assessing required changes, tracking status in the ECN log, and providing regular updates to stakeholders. 
  • Train, assign, and delegate tasks to document specialist(s) as appropriate to support workload and priorities. 
  • Track, coordinate, and manage calibration activities for tools and equipment to ensure compliance and readiness. 
  • Coordinate with the UL Field Engineer during quarterly audits at ProSource. When non-conformances are identified, lead containment activities, communicate findings to the customer, and oversee the monitoring and implementation of corrective actions. Maintain consistent communication between UL and the customer to ensure timely resolution of all issues. 
  • Perform bill of material audits on newly released jobs at ProSource to identify material discrepancies and help prevent delays during pilot production. 
  • Perform bill of material updates within the ERP system, including active jobs, quote entries, and templates. Completion timelines vary based on the volume of component changes and the number of active jobs currently in the queue.  
  • Provide customer-requested quality documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and Certificates of Testing. 
  • Develop and maintain work instructions in accordance with new NPI department requirements. 
  • Serve as a liaison between ProSource and customers to address questions or resolve issues arising during production or quality activities, including collaboration with customers engineering teams and communication of outcomes to internal teams. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: High school diploma required; 4+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, quality, or process engineering environments. 

Technical Skills/Proficiency: 

  • Strong knowledge of BOM structures and ERP systems. 
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings  
  • Familiarity with UL standards (e.g., UL 508A) and audit processes preferred  
  • Experience with calibration tracking and compliance processes  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document/document control systems

  • Leadership or supervisory experience (task delegation, mentoring) preferred.
