Process Excellence Senior Analyst

The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $87,723.00 to $142,254.00. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.

Responsibilities:

The Process Excellence Senior Analyst leads complex process improvement engagements across the Bank, from current-state discovery through future-state design, implementation, and benefits realization. This role serves as the senior practitioner responsible for drafting and designing processes, facilitating business owner engagement, mentoring other analysts, and identifying AI and automation opportunities, bots, and that reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and improve measurable business outcomes.

 

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Engagement Leadership

Lead end-to-end process improvement engagements, including scoping, discovery, analysis, design, implementation, and post-implementation review.

Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business owners, process owners, front-line staff, and senior leaders to document pain points, define improvement opportunities, validate requirements, and align on future-state design. Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables and manage engagements to committed dates.

Mentor and provide day-to-day process excellence guidance to analysts and business analysts on the team, including coaching on discovery, facilitation, process mapping, root cause analysis, metrics development, and recommendation development. 

 

Analysis & Design

Draft and maintain current-state and future-state process documentation, including process maps, procedures, workflows, roles and responsibilities, control points, handoffs, decision points, volumes, effort, cycle times, defects, and cost.

Perform root cause analysis and develop data-supported recommendations.

Design future-state processes with embedded controls, clear ownership, measurable performance indicators, reporting requirements, and supporting documentation.

Build business cases that quantify expected benefits and implementation effort.

 

Automation, RPA & AI

Identify and specify automation, RPA, bot, and AI opportunities within business processes.

Partner with IT, Digital Innovation, vendors, and the AI Enablement Lead on solution design, testing, and deployment. Support user acceptance testing, change management, training, and adoption activities.

 

 

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Track and report benefits realized against baseline for completed engagements.

Develop process performance metrics, dashboards, and baseline measures to monitor throughput, cycle time, quality, capacity, risk reduction, adoption, and benefits realization after implementation.

Contribute to methodology, templates, standards, and the enterprise process inventory. Prepare clear executive summaries and readouts of findings and recommendations. 

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Information Systems, IT, Finance, or related field; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 6 years experience in process improvement, operational excellence, business analysis, consulting, or process reengineering, including experience leading complex cross-functional process redesign efforts with measurable outcomes
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable process improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated experience leading process redesign efforts with measurable outcomes
• Strong data analysis skills, including advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools

Preferences:

• 2 years experience in banking or financial services
• Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
• Excellent facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills
• Experience identifying and delivering automation or RPA opportunities
• Experience using process mapping, workflow documentation, or operational analysis tools such as Visio, Jira, BigPicture, or comparable platforms.
