Samsung Biologics is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician. They will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance, responding to service calls, and completing in-house repairs throughout the facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility, utility, and selected production equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. Technicians conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections to assess equipment operability, identify maintenance needs, and perform necessary repairs. Work may be completed from sketches, drawings, technical documentation, or verbal instructions.
The Facility Maintenance Technician provides input to the Facilities Manager regarding maintenance strategies, repairs, and improvements to utility and process equipment. The position typically follows a standard 40-hour workweek; however, shift work may be required to support manufacturing operations. Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation for alarm monitoring and emergency response is required. Occasional travel may also be necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on facility systems, utility equipment, and selected production equipment.
Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
Work effectively with external contractors and service providers to complete maintenance and repair projects.
Independently resolve complex technical issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.
Collaborate effectively within the Facilities team and across departments to support operational objectives.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations as required.
Oversee and coordinate external contractors performing facility and equipment-related services to ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards.
Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document work orders, maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory transactions.
Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Identify, communicate, and escalate EHS risks through the appropriate channels to ensure timely mitigation.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position in Maryland is $38.11 - $50.82 plus shift differential and annual bonus, when eligible. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.
